WHAT IS COMPETITIVE SOCCER?
Competitive Soccer is a program offered to players who are interested in a higher level of play. There are different levels of competition and for the same reason we have licensed coaches who offer skilled and focused training. There are many players who aspire to take soccer to the next level and our program can help achieve this goal.
TRAINING?
Our teams start building at the beginning of February and March. Once the team is secured, there are two practices per week for 1.5 – 2 hours each time. The focus of the training sessions varies by age division. Throughout the year we have the Spring and Summer season games to prepare for competitive season which consist of an approximately of 12 games per season.
COACHES
All coaches are licensed and receive fees for their services.
COMMITMENT LEVEL AND ATTENDANCE
Competitive players agree to a higher commitment level and attendance. Lack of assistance to practice sessions may reduce playing time.
CONTRACT
Parents sign a one-year contract for the season agreeing to financial commitments and all the responsibilities that come with competitive soccer for the player.
COST
Competitive Soccer is more expensive than recreational soccer, although we still try to maintain low cost and we give families the opportunity for payment plans.
TRAVEL
There are an approximate of 10-12 games for the season. Half of the games are played in our home field LUZ DURAN PARK and the other half is played in our opponent’s home field. We travel as far as Oceanside, San Marcos, Escondido, Carlsbad and other San Diego County cities.
UNIFORMS
Competitive players are required to wear their training t-shirt to practice, and they receive 2 uniforms (home and away) for the season.
GAME SCHEDULES
Schedules are released 2-3 weeks before the season starts, which is the second week of September 2024. Schedules are released on the So Cal Website.
